Nursery School should be a place where a child can find love and respect as well as intellectual stimulation. Thus, when we consider the education of a child we should view the process both socially and intellectually - after all, what a child feels influences his or her desire to learn. At Children's Garden, although we offer a sound academic curriculum, our primary concern is the child's emotional and social development. Our focus will be to aid the children as they build the foundations for their social relationships. We will foster independence and self-confidence, cooperation and respect, and over-all social awareness of the world around them. The children will be regarded as individuals within a community and will be encouraged to work together for mutual enrichment.
Our school functions in the spirit of a family - a home away from home where children feel happy and comfortable. Since the home experience and the school experience should not be isolated from one another, open communication and cooperative exchange between home and school is necessary. "The parents and teachers each hold jigsaw pieces which when coming together generate a more complete picture." Thus, together we can help each child to develop his or her full human potential.
