Virtual Learning Programs

preschool student learning on a tablet from home

Check out our programs being offered for the month of March!

The beauty of our online programming is that you do not have to commit to a full school year. Your minimum commitment could be to a two weeks session. Each 30-minute class over a two-week period would include the same group of children to promote the best virtual social experience for the children to connect with one another. Each class has a maximum of 4 students.

You are more than welcome to add other classes in order to increase your child’s CGNS Bud’s time up to five days a week should your child be ready for more of a learning connection.

Kindergarten Readiness!

Next session: Weeks of March 15th and March 22nd.

Three classes per week – Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00am to 9:30am. Maximum of 4 students. The fee is a total of $150.00.

Has your child not had the opportunity to be part of a classroom setting this year due to COVID-19? Will they be starting kindergarten in the fall? This program is designed to give children the opportunity to build upon life skills needed to be successful within a classroom environment.

In preparation for kindergarten, we focus on different areas of learning including:

  • Tips on how to develop independence at home
  • Social skills
  • Self-help skills
  • Emotional resilience
  • The importance of following directions
  • Discussions on what to expect when in a classroom setting
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Recognizing our emotions
  • Discuss coping skills
  • How it is okay to make a mistake 😊

Let us help foster your child’s independence and self-confidence so that their transition to school will be a success!

Upcoming sessions:
Weeks of March 29th and April 5th.
Each Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00am to 9:30am

Fun with Phonics!

Next Session: Weeks of March 15th and March 22nd.

Two classes per week – Monday and Wednesday from 10:00am to 10:30am. Maximum of 4 students. The fee is a total of $100.00.

Our Fun with Phonics program is just that…FUN!

Alphabet recognition and recall is an essential first step when building upon pre-reading skills.  Children who can quickly recognize and recall the letters of the alphabet have an easier time learning their letter sounds. It is a fundamental building block for successful readers.

Letter knowledge is understanding that the letters of the alphabet have different names and sounds. Most children can recite the alphabet song at an early age, but can they recognize the letters independently? Do they know what sound each letter makes? We use concepts from the interactive Jolly Phonics program when teaching letters and their sounds.

Phonological Awareness is hearing and understanding that those words are made up of smaller sounds.

We teach this through:

  • Rhyming
  • Counting the syllables in a word
  • Blending sounds together
  • Breaking words down into individual sounds
  • Substitute one letter sound for another one to make a new word.

In addition, we use the Handwriting Without Tears concepts to teach the children correct pencil grip, prewriting strokes and air writing. This all ties in with teaching a child everything there is to know about each individual letter.

We would love to be part of your child’s pre-reading experience.

Upcoming sessions:
Weeks of  March 29th and April 5th.
Each Monday and Wednesday from 10:00am to 10:30am

Math Mania

Next Session: Weeks of March 15th and March 22nd.

Two classes per week – Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00am to 9:30am. Maximum of 4 students. The fee is a total of $100.

Math is much more than just counting! Children measure as they clap out the beats to music. They repeat rhythmic patterns as they dance. They describe, sort, and count objects during regular play and so much more.

Math Mania is a fun and interactive program that will introduce your child to lots of math concepts at the preschool level.

  • Geometry – Understanding size, shape, and patterns
  • Ability to count verbally (first forward, then backward)
  • Recognizing numerals
  • Identifying more and less of a quantity
  • Understanding one-to-one correspondence
  • Measurement
  • Language of math
  • Spatial relations

We hope that your child will join us so that we can explore together how Math is everywhere!

Upcoming sessions:
Weeks of March 29th and April 5th.
Each Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00am to 9:30am
