This is a wonderful spring activity to do with children and doubles as a great gift for Mother’s Day ; )
Here’s what you will need:
- Ceramic flower pot (of any size)
- Acrylic paint
- Paint Brushes
- Mod Podge (optional)
- Potting soil and seeds OR small plant to re-pot
Instructions:
- Paint the pot however you like (Ideas: Abstract patterns, handprint or fingerprints, stripes, polka dots, etc.). Let it dry.
- Add a coating or two of Mod Podge to seal your creation and protect it from water spillage, etc.
- Fill it with potting soil and plant some seeds, or buy a small plant and replant it into your pot.
If your child really gets into the spirit of painting, they can also paint a paper bag to put their creation into before gifting it to mom, or whomever they’d like.
